Program Impact

Each school day kids are offered cheese, crackers, cereal bars and juice so that they don’t have to spend the day hungry.  We are pleased to run this program for kids whose parents struggle with serious financial restraints. 

Only a small number of individual children avail of it every single day because there simply isn’t any food at home to bring to school with them.  For the children who simply forget to bring lunch or snack, they don’t need to get upset because they know we will have something for them. 

The school does have a small budget for the program, but support from SKYC ensures there is always food available at the school.
